Cầm tay mùa hè - Vietnam 2014

Cầm tay mùa hè is the brainchild of famous Vietnamese composer and songwriter Nguyen Quoc Trung. Aiming to bring a fresh new approach to music and the live music experience, Quoc Trung approached Julian to provide the complete Visual design for the show. Quoc Trung and Julian had previously met on the set of Vietnam Idol where Quoc Trung was a judge and mentor.

It became apparent from the early planning stages that this was going to be no ordinary show and Quoc trung specifically requested that Julian come up with a 'never seen before in vietnam' style design.

Julian came up with a very futuristic, minimal and industrial look which was a gamble as the venue was to be the french colonial style hanoi Opera house. Clay Paky Sharpys, Atomic strobes, Martin Mac Auras, DTS Profiles, Kvant Full Colour lasers with target mirrors were all utilised together with bespoke LED video panels ( run from an Avolites Media Ai server ) were put to spectacular use, ensuring that not only was the music being performed unlike anything heard before but that the visual aspect blew those in attendance away.
